Nelspruit, the capital of Mpumalanga, is situated in the Kruger Lowveld region and is known as the gateway to Mpumalanga and the Kruger National Park. Recently renamed to Mbombela, the town is a major stopover point for tourists travelling to the Kruger National Park and to Mozambique.
